The Board

Local Super is managed by a professional and dedicated group of individuals who are charged with the responsibility of effectively managing your superannuation investment to meet your future retirement needs.

The Local Government Superannuation Board is responsible for the strategic direction of Local Super and ensuring the rights of members are protected. There are six members on the Board, two appointed as independent representatives and four to represent the key people involved in Local Super, you the member and employers.

Independent Representatives

Juliet Brown
Juliet joined Local Super as an independent representative in September 1995, and commenced as Chairman in July 2007.

Graham Scott
Graham has been an independent representative since the inception of Local Super in 1984.

Employer Trustees

John Rich
John was appointed in November 2003, as an employer representative nominated by the Local Government Association South Australia and is an Elected Member of the Town of Walkerville.

Brian Hurn O.A.M
Brian has been an employer representative nominated by the Local Government Association South Australia since April 1993 and is Mayor of The Barossa Council.

Member Trustees

Ray Bailey
Ray joined Local Super in October 1989 as a member representative nominated by the Australian Services Union.

Frank Mateos
Frank joined Local Super in July 2007 as a member representative nominated by The Australian Workers' Union.
