Local Super was established in 1984 to bring together all the various arrangements which had developed over the years in the Local Government sector in South Australia. In 1990 employees from the Northen Territory Local Government sector joined Local Super.

We have now been looking after member's super for 26 years. Membership has grown to over 25,000 and super benefits are approaching $1.5 billion.
